Fall Factors: A Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults
A free program through the King County Emergency Medical Services Division for older adults who have fallen in or around their home. Local fire departments will complete a home assessment and install a tub grab bar, toilet safety frame and other devices if needed. Harborview Fall Prevention Clinic
A specialty clinic operating within the Senior Care Clinic at Harborview Medical Center that provides falls/mobility assessments and falls-prevention services to patients aged 65 and older, or younger as needed. -
EnhanceFitness
An award-winning, low-cost exercise program that offers levels challenging enough for active older adults as well as less demanding levels safe for those who are just beginning to build up their fitness. -
Matter of Balance
A series of classes that help seniors learn balance skills. Classes are offered at various senior centers at different times during the year. Find the senior center closest to you. -
Safety and Gait Enhancement Program (S.A.G.E)
A program through Northwest Hospital & Medical Center designed to improve balance and mobility among seniors who have fallen or are at risk for falling. Participants are evaluated and given a customized physical therapy/exercise program. Services are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare. -
South King County Fire and Rescue
